ASHBY MARTA STATION CONNECTIVITY STUDY

In partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission, the City of Atlanta is leading the Ashby MARTA Station Connectivity Study, a tactical Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study, that will advance the vision for a safe, connected, and active Ashby MARTA station.

The study encompasses 0.75 square miles of historic commercial, residential, and mixed-use blocks, including prominent corridors such as Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. It connects to Atlanta’s historic Westside neighborhoods and destinations, including Vine City, Washington Park, Ashview Heights, the Atlanta University Center, and the Atlanta Beltline.

Funding for this project is provided through the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI), which awards federal grants to foster the development of vibrant, walkable places that offer increased mobility options, encourage healthy lifestyles, and provide improved access to jobs and services.
